Well done to all the riders who took part in both the Maldon Road Races on Sunday 1st October.

Massive thank you to all our volunteers who helped out at the event. It really is the biggest event Maldon Cycling Club put on in a calendar year and it requires a huge amount of volunteers covering every aspect of the event - refreshments, officials, marshals and the list goes on. It really is appreciated by all at Maldon Cycling Club and we thank you for giving up your own time to help ensure the event went so well.

Special thanks to Darren Steward who was once again the road race organiser for 2017.

Results of the Road Races are available on the British Cycling Website - Maldon RR Results

Huge well done to Maldon Junior Rider Harry Wood who finished 2nd in the Regional Race (3/4). It was only his third ever race. He was helped in the race by Maldon club member Tim Chilvers who also managed to finish 7th.

In the National Race (E/1/2/3) it was a former Maldon club member George Wood, now riding for RIchardsons Trek, who won the event with yet another superb result in what has been a fantastic season.  Maldon club member Paul Miller finished in a very creditable 23rd place in this race.

Well done and thank you to all involved.
