In a very few instances, non BC members who have previously paid online have encountered difficulties doing so again as they do not have a BC membership number and cannot recover the account number they were given when they first paid.

Advice from BC: "Anyone who has previously made a purchase (or has been part of a family membership) on the British Cycling website will have a membership number – this acts as an account number so is allocated regardless of British Cycling membership. It is used to construct an online membership list and it's purpose is to avoid duplication. 

People can recover all the membership numbers associated with their email address (this will usually recover the numbers for all family members) by using the links on the following page : https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/uac/connect They can also reset their password here if they are having trouble logging in".
